Abstract

This case study invited the audience to the journey of a dedicated Buddhist practitioner and therapist who, deeply traumatized as a boy by the rage of his father, is gradually moving out of a frozen exile into an intimate connection with humanity and the whole of life. The most important resource in this healing journey has been the direct contact with the radiant Buddha nature within himself and between us. The presentation discussed the co-regulating role of therapeutic presence and resonance (mutual attunement), the value of spontaneous gross and subtle physical movements, and the importance of the timely pointing to nondual awareness.
