2020: Postponed
Statement issued prior to the 2020 Religion & Ecology Summit:
In recent days, it has become increasingly apparent that concerns about the novel coronavirus and COVID-19 mitigate against convening the fifth Religion & Ecology Summit on March 20, 2020.
On Friday, March 6, San Francisco Mayor London Breed and the San Francisco Department of Public Health issued a recommendation that "non-essential large gatherings should be cancelled or postponed." Additionally, SF-DPH recommends practicing social distancing and avoiding handshakes and hugs.
Out of an abundance of caution, and a concern for everyone's health and well-being, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the fifth annual Religion & Ecology Summit until spring 2021.
